Guidance for Unit 6 (answer structure)

First paragraph (Introduction)

- Must include consideration of the bullet points. (Cannot pass without considering bullet points. Extra things not shown on bullet points should be included for higher marks).

- Always have to start off showing the examiner that we understand the objective of the campaign.

- Need to state that you must prepare for campaign 6 months in advance of it's release.

- Twitter is a good example of a social media page to promote campaign: large audience using Twitter.

- After reading brief, consider who you would follow: Do they relate to the brief? Local news and radio stations?

- Tagging relevant accounts and using relevant hashtags, promote campaign through social media posts.

- folksonomy (A user generated system of classifying and organising online content into categories, e.g. hashtags).

- Must set yourself goals, e.g. how many likes? how many shares / reposts?


Paragraph 2

- Use another social media page as an example. Show examiner that you understand how other social media platforms work.

- Links connecting to other social media pages, for example: Link to twitter page on Facebook page.


Paragraph 3

- Come up with ideas to promote campaign. Frequent posts, each post should be different / unique to keep momentum.


Paragraph 4

- Create content and rushes and share across social media platforms. 

- Consider legal and ethical issues: Target audience, laws, what permissions do you have? etc.
